People will definitely look after the better courses to continue their higher studies. When it comes to choosing courses, there are various in numbers. Among that, some students prefer to learn the MBA course. People who wish to get seated in MBA at top colleges need to pass the entrance exams called CAT. The CAT exam is mainly conducted for MBA admission MBA in IIMs. The students must score high marks in this entrance exam, only then they can get admission in the top colleges. The students can expect huge competition, since this exam is conducted all over the state.
The CAT examination will be conducted during the month of November and the results of this exam will be released in the month of January. Once the exam notification is released on the official website, the candidates who wish to apply for the exam can further make arrangements. Before applying for this examination, the candidates should know about the basic requirements of the exam. Now, we are going to discuss about the requirements of the exam in detail.
Eligibility:
- A bachelor degree in any stream.
- The general candidates must score 50% of minimum marks.
- The SC, ST, PwD and DA students must score 45% of minimum of marks.
- The candidate should submit their final year certificates when applying the examination.
Application Process:
The applying procedure for the CAT 2016 exam is done online. Once the notification of the exam is released, the candidates can register for the exam by going online and filling in the required details. After the registration is over, an admit card will be provided to the candidates for the examination.
Exam Patterns:
The exams will be conducted on the internet itself and the exam pattern will be classified in to four methods. They are Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Verbal and Reading Comprehension.
Cut Off Marks:
After the entrance exam is conducted, the exam committee will prepare the result. According to the maximum marks found in the exam result, the exam committee will declare the cut off marks. The cut off marks will be different each year.
Selection Process:
There are three methods to conduct thus exam. They are written exam, group discussion and personal interview. In the primary stage, the candidates will appear to the written examination. And the candidates who passed in the written exam will be further eligible to attend the group discussion and personal interview.
